Choices

Miley Cyrus is one of the most top rated celebrities from the 21 century. The thing is...what kinds of signs is she putting off to me and you. Miley is our age, and it's easy to get wrapped up in the things of life, she is a teenager and is making some bad choices....so do we let her off the hook for what she's doing, I mean...there are people all around us that are doing the same thing or even worse! That's something that I've been thinking about lately. The reason that we look at her sins being so much worse than someone at our school is because she has a high position. You as a Christian or even as a sibling with younger siblings have a high position. So, the choices that you make need to be thought of in a high position mind...a mature mind. I know it's hard, but in the end all the people that are looking up to you will be encouraged of the choices that you make! Just like we will be encouraged if Miley makes good choices.

Tonights Church

Hey everyone!

Tonight I went to my youth group at church and it was so great. We had a speaker from England.
His name is Matt and he works with an organization that gets Bibles out to people that really need them.
He and his wife are just so amazing and really seem to be on fire for Christ. He spoke about how important it is to NOT care what people think about you, to JUST worry about what your heart looks like to God...which I think is EXTREMELY timely for what I wrote about in my last blog.
- But tonight he was talking about how people in other countries DIE for only sharing the gospel with someone...and yet we are afraid of what we look like standing in line with our younger sibling!
THIS IS NOT THE LIFE THAT GOD HAS CHOSEN FOR US!
" For this is the will of God, your sanctification..." ( 1 Thessalonians 4:3 )
God above all things calls us to be sanctified through Him...I have to think about that before anything else. There are people in other countries who are giving their lives for the will of God, to share their faith with others. What is our purpose as teen girls? Is it to ALWAYS worry about what we look like?
No...it is to DO the will of God and to be sanctified!

The first!

Hello Ladies, I am very exited about doing this blog. My prayer is that God will use this to speak to girls my age. I think that it is going to be really cool to write about how God speaks to me in my devotions. He is always showing me things and I think would be neat to share. Thanks for checking in! Lindsey :)
