HI Ladies!
I have been meaning to write to you all...about a certain subject. So here it goes!
I have a story that will blow your mind! Check this out! ( this is a really LONG story)
About 2 summers ago, I was at my grandmothers pool with my mom and siblings. There was this guy there (he was 15) and I guess he saw me and later he went to my grandmothers house. He asked for my telephone number. He told my grandmother that his mother wanted to talk to my mom about homeschooling. So I was quite anticipating the call sometime that week...and I got it! Now mind you, that I have never even spoken a word to this boy in my WHOLE life! I had NEVER talked to a boy on the phone before but my mom let me just to see what he wanted! So he calls but he only asks for me...we all know that he was lying about the whole "my mom wants to talk to her mom" thing. So I proceed to talk with him....it was really awkward!!!
We finally get off the phone and me and my mom are about to loose our minds that some guy would do that! I was finishing up my math, and about 10 minutes later....he calls again! He asks if I am going to the pool that afternoon and unfortunately our family had already made plans to do just that..... BEFORE the phone call happened! So I finished talking for about 1 minute and JUST GUESS who calls AGAIN??? Yep your right! The boy from the pool! He wanted to know if I had a cell phone and I told him know no, ( I really don't) that I only talk on the home phone!
~ We all loaded in the car for the pool, when we got there he sat by me. He asked me if he could ride to my house on his mountain bike...and at the end he asked if I was busy so that we could
"catch a movie". I was appalled at the way he treated me with such little respect! He acted as if I was a gold fish, we all looked the same and I was just a stupid yellow gold fish that was only meant to look pretty. I HATED that! Most likely he wasn't saved and just needed the Lord, he wasn't taught well and needed MAJOR training! After I had said that my parents wouldn't allow that, he NEVER spoke to me again!
~~The moral of this REALLY long blogg, is to NOT sell yourself short for a boy that will treat you like a fish in a bowl. Someone that you have no relationship with and someone that you know is NOT a match for you. The " Mr. Right" will come some day if you Trust God for it...I'm NOT kidding girls, it will really happen! God encourages us all in His word to be a person that trusts in Him. Let God be your satisfaction and not people...that will only give you heart ache. Let Him know everyday that you trust Him. Sometimes sin may even seem better...it may not feel good at the time to choose to trust in Him, but the result is amazing. Can you imagine what would have happened if I took that boy for his word? I would have has serious problems...but I didn't!
Proverbs 3:5,6
" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways
acknowledged Him and He will direct your path".
Love y'all!
Linds :)
